As a young child my mom sat with a pen and paper and drew constantly. Little illustrations, doodles, cartoons and various items that grabbed her fancy. Sitting there watching her and scanning her sketches I started to learn to see things others did not see. As I grew she taught me a little bit but encouraged me to explore on my own...to find my own.
It seems that since that time I have always merged my skills into my jobs. As an administrative assistant or a supervisor, I have combined illustrations with documentation. I created fliers, posters, maps, newsletters, certificates, invitations and my mom's funeral leaf-lets.
The illustration skills I have been developing and continue to develop, are the skills I present foremost to any prospective employer. A merger of information, illustration, and presentation to the viewer in a manner that is pleasing and clear is paramount to my goal.
